Learning & Development


The Students' Union believes that it is the responsibility of all staff to continue to learn and develop throughout their career. By helping our staff to grow and improve we further enable the Students' Union to grow and improve and better meet its mission of providing an outstanding student experience to our members. 

We seek to develop the skills and knowledge of our student and full time staff through 3 mechanisms:

  • Quality, comprehensive training
  • Robust, PDR and Review Processes
  • Development opportunities including accredited and external training or qualifications

These three mechanisms are delivered through your Line Manager, but centrally owned and overseen by the Students' Union's HR Manager. More information can be found on each by navigating the menu on the left of this page.
