Election Key Dates

  • Candidate Academy - 7th Feb

If you're interested in running in one of our upcoming Students' Union Officer elections but want to find out more about the positions and how it all works, then come along to Candidate Academy on Wednesday 7th February! For more information, go here! 

  • Nominations Open - 12 February, 9am 

This is when you can nominate yourself or refer a mate. You can either run for one of our four full time Sabbatical Officers which work within the Students' Union every day and recieve a monthly salary, or a Part Time Officer where you represent students along with your studies. 

  • Nominations Close - 19 February, midnight 

By this point we will hopefully have several of you running for your desired positions. 

  • Candidate Briefings - 20th February, 6pm (Avenue campus) and 21st February, 10am (Park campus)  

Before you begin anypromo and campaigning, you will need to attend one of the Candidate Briefings with the Deputy Returning Officer. 

You cannot begin campaigning until you have attended this briefing. 

  • Question Times - 27th February (Avenue) and 1st March (park), both start at 6pm

Opportunity for each candidate to give an overview of why they are running for a role, with Q&As from student audience.

  • Voting Opens - 5th March, 9am 

YAY! You can start voting, we will have several people around campus helping you and showing you how to vote - and of course, there will be rewards for those who do. 

  • Voting Closes - 9th March, 5pm 

Once everybody has made their vote they will be counted, while those of who ran sit nervously, waiting.

  • Results Announced - 13th March
